Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I know I haven't blogged in months but if you know just a fraction of what has been going on in my crazy-busy working mom life you totally understand. I did take the time to sit down and write this this morning. I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving with too much food, fun and family. [And I promise I will update you soon:)]

Every year on Thanksgiving Sunday at my church we write down things that we are thankful for. This is one of my favorite Sundays out of the year due to the fact that I love the fall colors and smells and the whole reason why we celebrate Thanksgiving. Then my pastor always reads a few cards from the year before and I love hearing what other people are thankful for. I have been thinking about what I was going to write on my "card" for weeks now. I didn't get to put as much as I would have liked because I was holding Rileigh (Eric had worked the night before and was home sleeping, Mary [Eric's mom] was out of town, my Dad was out of town and my sis was MIA). I love spending this time of worship with my family so I always try and keep Rileigh with me during our service and THANKFULLY she is a great baby that doesn't make much noise other than the occasional coo or mamma. She just sits there and plays with pieces of paper. With all that being said I am taking this time to list a few of the things I am thankful for. I hope everyone takes time this year to thank your creator be it God or whom ever you worship. We truly have so MANY things to be thankful for.

1. The look I get from Rileigh every morning when I go into her room to get her ready for the day.
2. The fact that I have a HEALTHY family.
3. My husband....that works 2 jobs from Wednesday to Saturday and is pretty much awake for 24 hours to provide for my family.
4.My extended family that does so much for us...my mom and dad and sisters and brothers, and Eric's parents and his brothers and sisters our grandparents and our aunts and uncles.
5. For the wonderful friendships that have weathered some serious storms and made it and for those friendships that didn't weather the storm that made me realize it's just not worht it.
6. For the friends that I have had since high school, middle school, and even elementray school.
7. For the smell of my house when I walk in and know that I will be sleeping in a comfy bed with a roof over my head.
8. The smell of cookies baking in the oven and dinner on the stove.
9. The church home I belong to and all the people that love me and my family.
10. I can choose where I go to worship and who/what I worship.
11. My job and the fact that I have a good paying, flexiable job that allows me to spend as much time with my family as possible.
12. The smell of the day when I am rushing out of the house every morning to get Rileigh to day care and get to work before 7:00.
13. I can take Rileigh to a day care that we know the owners and that other than my baby being with me these are about the most trustworthy and caring hands she could be in.
14. LOVE!!!
15. Snotty noses, dirty diapers, excitment over first steps and new teeth, and someone that is so sad to see you leave they lay their head down and cry because they think they will never see you again.
16. For good health insurance and good doctors.
17. FREEDOM and those that risk and give their lives for my freedom.
18. JESUS!!!
19. Pictures that enable us to keep memories close.
20. Computers and email to help keep in contact with family that is not close.
21. My new last name that I am so happy to have. (I still have "the Greer" alive in me too.)

These are just a few things that I can think of just right off the top of my head. Please don't forget to count your blessings this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
